The John Hamman School of Ballroom Dance (est. 2007) offers group and private tuition in Ballroom, Latin and Social dancing (including bespoke wedding dance lessons).
John Hamman has 20 years of competitive dance experience, specialising in Latin American dance. He is professionally qualified in Ballroom and Latin American and registered with the SADTA (South African Dance Teachers Association) and South African Dance Foundation (SADF). He adjudicates both locally and internationally holding a valid SADTA, SADF and and international WDC (World Dance Council) adjudicators licence. John is also the head coach at the at UCT Ballroom and Latin Dance Society, teaching all levels from beginner to advanced. He also holds a business science degree from UCT and has worked in the advertising and marketing industries. He provides quality group and private ballroom dance instruction to all ages and levels from his venues in Rondebosch and Newlands (Cape Town).
He started sharing his passion and knowledge for dance in 2007 and has since taught many couples and singles of all ages and abilities to dance. He is able to communicate his knowledge to a wide variety of students and tailor his services to suit each individuals dancing needs.

He also offers social dance evenings in Rondebosch including professional demonstrations and showcases from all ages and levels. This is also a chance for social couples to relax and enjoy a night of dancing to great ballroom and latin music.
He also offers internationally recognised Medal tests and competition training for singles and couples who want to take their dancing more seriously.
